Laser Multi-Depth Fractional Acne Scarring is a Fractional CO2 laser resurfacing treatment that creates thousands of controlled micro-columns of ablation at multiple depths in the skin. This triggers collagen remodeling below atrophic acne scars — including ice pick, boxcar, and rolling scars — gradually filling them from the base upward over 3–6 months.
The CO2 laser delivers precisely targeted energy in a fractionated pattern, treating a fraction of the skin surface per pass while leaving surrounding tissue intact. Untreated tissue supplies the healing signal that drives rapid collagen production. Result: significant scar improvement with much faster recovery than fully ablative laser resurfacing.
Topical numbing cream is applied 45–60 minutes before treatment. Most clients rate the sensation as 3–4 out of 10 — comparable to a firm rubber-band snap with intense heat. Cool air is delivered continuously throughout the session. A full-face treatment typically takes 30–45 minutes.
